FAQs

Q

Who are/ what is Kingston Enterprise Engineering or ‘KEE’?

A

Kingston Enterprise Engineering is a limited company, registered in England, part owned by Kingston University.

Q

Do Kingston Enterprise Engineering have anything to do with ‘KEE Methods’

A

Yes, Kingston Enterprise Engineering own KEE Methods

Q

How many courses are there in the KEE Efficiency Optimisation Module?

A

There are three, one day courses in the generic module.  However, as we tailor each course according to our client’s requirements we are able to deliver aspects of each course in greater depth if necessary.

Q

What do you mean by ‘generic’

A

Each course in the module has a core syllabus.  We have designed courses around the syllabus that we deliver as standard.  However, we discuss the requirements of each client on a case-by-case basis so that the syllabus may be expanded or aspects enhanced for a particular client.  Therefore a ‘generic’ course has not been designed for a particular client.

Q

Do I have to take every course?

A

No, each course is independent of the others and is aimed at a different skillset, but taking all three courses would enhance an individual’s ability to create maximum efficiency gains within the organisation.

Q

What are the minimum and maximum numbers for each course?<o:p>

A

The minimum number for courses 1 and 2 is five.  The maximum is thirty.  This is because the delegates are separated into teams in order to physically perform processes.

Q

Is each course designed for a different type of role?

A

We encourage anyone who is serious about delivering maximum efficiency to the organisation to take all the courses.  However, the module has been designed for the following roles:

  • Course 1:  Lower and non-management
  • Course 2:  Senior and middle management
  • Course 3:  Business Analysts or Process Engineers

Q

Is the material delivered on the courses compatible with common, industry standard process methods?

A

Yes, the courses use elements of most of the major methods such as Six Sigma, CoBIT, Togaf, TQM, Lean, Agile, PRINCE2, etc

Q

How long is each course?

A

Each generic course takes one day of between 6 and 7 hours

Q

Where are the courses held?

A

Either at your place of business on in a local venue, arranged by you.

Q

Beside the tutors, what else do we pay for?

A

We provide all materials for every course, but we require the facilities and accommodation to be provided by you.

Q

How soon we will begin to see a return on our investment?

A

Immediately.  As soon as delegates return to work they start applying the principles and techniques they gained during the course.  This often mean savings of thousands of pounds.

Q

Does Kingston University use this module?

A

The module was designed for Kingston University Business School’s MBA course and has been modified for use in day-by-day operations.

Q

Do we have to learn a new ‘business engineering’ language in order to understand what’s going on?

A

Not at all.  There is no jargon and unfamiliar concepts are described in everyday English.
